Took me a minute to figure out the right paper width, but once I did, the handle turned so smoothly my 7-year-old cranked out a dozen beads in one sitting. The beads held up well even after I strung them into a bracelet.

The turning motion is so smooth that my kids fought over whose turn it was to feed the magazine strips through. Even my four-year-old could manage the handle, and we've already made a whole jar of colorful beads for necklaces.

Our five-year-old was mesmerized watching the magazine strips twist into tight colorful beads. The handle turns so smoothly that she could do it all by herself. Now she's planning to make a necklace for her grandma.
