Took about an hour to assemble with my daughter, and watching her figure out how the hydraulic pistons control both axes of the crane was genuinely impressive. The wooden pieces fit together snugly without needing glue.

My son was skeptical at first, but once he got the crane moving around those two axes with just water pressure, he wouldn't put it down. The whole setup took us about an hour together, and seeing him explain the mechanics to his grandpa afterwards was worth every penny.

My 8-year-old figured out the hydro-mechanics in under an hour, and the crane's two-axis movement actually works smoothly. It kept him away from screens for two straight afternoons.
